Medicine does not hand out a map.

Nobody tells you how to actually get from pre-med to medical school. From med school to a residency you want β€” not just one you'll take. From residency to a competitive fellowship. From training into a career with real leverage, real income, and a life you recognize.

I know, because I navigated every one of those transitions myself β€” and now I sit on the other side of the table.Β I've reviewed the applications. I've run the interviews. I've decided who matches and who doesn't.Β The process that feels like a black box to you is the process I help operate.

That perspective is what I bring to every person I work with.

The Surgeon

Double board-certified. Battle-tested daily.

I am a double board-certified surgeon in General Surgery and Surgical Critical Care, and a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons. I practice as a trauma surgeon in Miami, where I serve as Trauma Medical Director of a Level I trauma center β€” the highest trauma designation that exists.

Level I trauma is medicine with no margin for error. It's where decisions are made in seconds and accountability is absolute. That environment doesn't just shape how I operate β€” it shapes how I think, how I lead, and how I coach.

My practice spans trauma, emergency general surgery, surgical critical care, robotic surgery, complex abdominal wall reconstruction, and surgical stabilization of rib fractures β€” alongside contributions to the peer-reviewed trauma literature.

The Educator

I don't just practice medicine. I decide who gets to.

This is the part of my career that matters most to you. As a professor of surgery, my academic roles span the entire pipeline you're trying to climb.

Student → Resident

Surgery Clerkship Director

I direct the surgical education of university medical students. I know exactly what separates the student who impresses on rotation from the one who blends into the wall — because I'm the one doing the evaluating.

Resident → Specialist

Core Faculty, General Surgery Residency

I train surgical residents day in and day out. I see what makes residents thrive, what makes them stall, and what program leadership actually values when no one's watching.

Fellow → Attending

Program Director, Surgical Critical Care Fellowship

I run a fellowship program. I read the applications. I conduct the interviews. I build the rank list. Others guess what programs are looking for. I'm not guessing.

At every transition point in a medical career, someone on the other side of the door is making the decision. I've been that person at every single stage.

The Entrepreneur

Beyond the hospital.

A career in medicine doesn't have to end at the hospital doors β€” mine doesn't.

Together with my wife, I co-founded a luxury medspa brand built on the same standard of excellence I hold in the operating room. What started as a single vision has grown to three corporate locations and is now scaling into a franchise model.

Why does that matter to you? Because the physicians, nurses, PAs, and NPs I work with don't just want to survive their training β€” they want options. Clinical leadership, academic medicine, entrepreneurship, brand-building. I've built all of it simultaneously, and I coach with that full picture in view.

Why I Coach

The gap is almost never talent.

The people who succeed in medicine aren't always the smartest in the room. They're the ones who had someone showing them how the system actually works β€” what evaluators reward, how decisions really get made, where the unwritten rules live.

β€œMost people never get that person.
I built this to be that person.”

Whether you're a college student aiming for medical school, a resident chasing a competitive fellowship, or a nurse, PA, or NP ready to advance β€” the gap between where you are and where you want to be is guidance. That's the gap I close.

You don't need more advice.
You need the evaluator in your corner.

Spots in both programs are intentionally limited β€” the coaching roster stays small enough that I know every person in it.
